The chocolate company, M&M, is collaborating with BBDO New York for an augmented reality campaign. The new M&M’s Mix bags are set to feature the candy brand’s first-ever AR print ad.
The M&M’s Mix bags comprise flavors mixed, with the Classic Mix including milk chocolate, peanut, and peanut butter. The Peanut Mix is made using dark, milk, and white chocolate peanut M&M’s.
The print made it to the latest editions of publications, including Billboard, People, and Sports Illustrated. Positioning your phone over the ad will take you to a Snapchat AR experience that brings all of M&M’s characters to life.
The campaign is also supported by numerous social and online videos that direct users inside the M&M’s Mix bag.
Additionally, a series of product integration digital videos featuring the M&M’s Mix will appear on Meredith sites, including Entertainment Weekly, People, and People en Español.
The first-to-market partnership with the publisher also puts the creative on People Picks, which is recognized as the best in books, films, and television.
