Tooz’s progress in the smart glasses space has been closely guarded from the public eye, but the company has begun to let out a few glimpses for what it has been building for its prospective customers.
Tooz, along with Adidas, recently revealed footage that hints towards what the collaboration between the two companies will lead to. However, the actual augmented reality footage still appears to be within the ‘concept design’ stage.
Nevertheless, the hardware seems all done and can be witnessed on an athlete’s face as he uses the Adidas Runtastic app to track his workout progress.
“The collaboration with Adidas Runtastic has clearly shown that app content can be transferred very easily to the Tooz Smart Glasses and that wearers can benefit directly from this technology in sports and outdoor activities,” said Dr. Kai Ströder, the CEO of Tooz. “With the seamlessly integrated Tooz optics, we can not only meet individual style preferences, but also the ergonomic requirements of athletes.”
Tooz had also opened the shop for those looking to get early access to its non-Adidas branded smart glasses earlier this month.
The expected launch timeline or the pricing of the Adidas smart glasses is yet to be revealed. Still, the new concept video does provide an exciting sneak peek into what the company is up to in its effort to dominate the athletic wearables space.
