InWith Corporation specializing in planting microelectronics into molded hydrogel devices to smart implants from smart contact lenses has showcased its advanced platform for soft contact app lenses at the CES 2021.

Per the company, it holds many US Patents for the latest smart contact lens technologies. The newest technology, which was showcased at CES 2021, is an arrangement to allow developers to install an augmented vision display chip in any hydrogel contact lenses. InWith also mentioned that they are the only company to display this ability to integrate display circuitry into soft contact lens materials.

InWith, in a statement, said that it had pioneered the methods of integration of circuits and solid components into hydrogel materials by providing the materials to contract and expand in the regular manufacturing process. 

InWith also stated that its breakthrough would help developers to build ophthalmic improvement applications and displays for intraocular lenses and contact lenses. From the latest AR and XR visual applications to offering better sight to patients suffering from Presbyopia or Myopia, InWith has stated that its technology will allow an “electronic revolution for the future of eyesight and ophthalmic capabilities.”
