The leading edibles company, Wana Brands, is collaborating with the AR development, eCommerce, branding, and advertising specialist, August Allen, to launch a new Web-Based Augmented Reality (WebAR) campaign.

The company plans to place QR codes on its product packaging that will unlock immersive 3D animations for its customers, enabling them to check out the new Live Rosin gummy flavors – Watermelon Slushy, Tropical Smoothie, Citrus Sorbet, and Berry Gelato.

Wana is the front-running edibles company in North America and is now the first one to introduce augmented reality tech to its packaging. August Allen has developed the AR experience for compatibility across iOS and Android devices. The consumers just need to scan the QR codes using their smartphones to witness the remarkable experiences that unveil Wana’s new solventless extracted live rosin line.

The campaign aims to drive engagement through bold, detailed, and colorful 3D animations that highlight the fun and interactive educational content. For instance, one of the interactive features incorporates a 360-degree view of 3D gummies floating around, which the users can pop to hear unique, playful sounds. It follows up with a terpene wheel that unlocks individual immersive flavor experiences.

Apart from the 3D interactive content, the features also provide call-to-actions to share the experience, display the product details, or watch the product’s YouTube video.

August Allen has also integrated Google analytics into this experience to provide Wana with in-depth user engagement and geo-location analytics. As a result, the brand can track several key engagement metrics, including the number of users, quantity of views, average time-in-experience, and click-through rates.
