The premiere advertising exchange for extended reality environments, Trivver, has announced that its non-fungible token (NFT) authenticity scanner has been granted a US patent.

Trivver’s NFT scanner application provides buyers with a unique ability to scan digital NFTs using their smartphones, tablets, and other devices to verify whether the NFT is authentic or not instantly.

Even though the recent uptick in NFT marketplace sales and activity has simmered down, there is still significant activity in the space.

“Current economic conditions along with other factors are amongst several reasons the marketplace has cooled off, but one major cause for the recent pullback is simply a lack of trust,” said Joel LaMontagne, Trivver founder, CEO, and IAB Board Member.

Marketplaces such as OpenSea report that up to 80% of the NFTs for sale are duplicates. Somebody must provide buyers with a simple way to authenticate purchases. Trivver believes its application backed by blockchain technology now offers the level of trust buyers need to feel confident in their investments.

Trivver’s newest release places a unique 3D pixel capable of maintaining and reporting ownership back to the original creator and all subsequent owners of the NFT and the purpose of the NFT. This design not only ensures the authenticity of the NFT but also ensures that any sales, royalties, or other potential revenue earned from each NFT reach the rightful owner.

Furthermore, Trivver’s Smart NFTs can autoscale 3D objects, allowing these and other assets to be precisely placed in immersive settings. Trivver Smart NFTs provide valuable performance data once installed. Brands now have the tools to scale their products within the metaverse quickly.

Trivver’ Smart Object’ intellectual property, which among other things, injects each asset with a hidden digital pattern, is an essential component in this digital anti-fraud technology. Elements that can be authenticated by several pixels, voxels, vertices, or mesh representations are examples of such patterns.

“In order for the NFT space to thrive, we believe this is a much-needed technology,” said LaMontagne.
