Almost four years after its release, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has now crossed more than 1 million users on PSVR.

As per Capcom’s official stat-tracking website, Sony’s PSVR headset had played host to over 1,010,000 users for the game as of 14th January 2021. For PC, PS4, and Xbox combined, the game has just under 7 million players across the globe.

The title had hit the 900,000 mark during June 2020, and it took a little bit longer than expected for it to breach the 1 million milestone. As of the beginning of 2020, PSVR has already shipped over 5 million units worldwide. It can be assessed that a huge portion of the PSVR user base has already played the game if you analyze the overall growth in the number of the platform’s users.

Giving the users a true AAA horror experience, Resident Evil 7 is undoubtedly one of the best games to be launched on the PSVR platform. The title is filled with a lot of captivating moments and the gameplay will surely give you goosebumps.

The remakes of the game, Resident Evil 2 and 3, have not received VR support yet. Reportedly in Japan, you can have access to two new arcade-exclusive Resident Evil games. Resident Evil 8 is also in the works which will take the players back to the first-person perspective.

Despite all the rumors, Capcom has not officially announced any VR support for the game either on PS5 or PC. And it does not provide any PSVR support for its games, to begin with. Nevertheless, one can only speculate that the new one will debut on all platforms at once.
