According to a report from Ericsson, CSPs (Communications service providers) have the possibility of earning around USD 3.7 trillion from the 5G consumer market that is expected to be around USD 31 trillion by the end of 2030.
According to the same report, SPs are expected to generate around USD 131 billion by the end of 2030 from digital service revenues alone. Around 40% of these revenue forecasts are attached to consumer spending on augmented reality, virtual reality, cloud gaming, and enhanced video services over 5G networks.
Augmented reality is also predicted to drive more than half of all customer spending on immersive media by the end of 2030. It will include gaming and extend up to other areas like education, shopping, and remote collaboration.
