The VR esports league platform with a 3-division Population: One tournament featuring solo competition has been officially launched by VREvolution.

Following its October 2020 launch, BigBox VR’s Population: One reached the top of the charts for the battle royale games in immersive reality within no time. And ever since, the developers have built engagement within the community by consistently bringing in new updates and features.

The Private Room Open Beta for the platform began on April 2, and numerous community groups, leagues, and organizations have been actively hosting events since then. One of these events featured Solaris and Hyper Dash players, a Population: One Premier League hosted by Mob Toyco. The Private Room Solo Mode allowed the players to create private lobbies and compete against one another individually launched on April 16.

The parent organization of VREvolution, VREsports.com, has had the Population: One competition in the works since last year, but they were waiting for the release of private rooms to release the tournament.

“We want to further grow VREvolution.gg and aim to organize bigger tournaments with more participants and higher prizes,” said Yigit Kirca, Digital Content Manager for VREvolution.gg. “We also plan to offer tournaments for a variety of different games. Our goal is to become one of the biggest platforms for competitive VR, and we are confident that this first tournament will allow us to make a strong debut.”
