Pico Interactive announces two new VR headset versions of Neo 3 for the enterprise market

Pico Interactive has announced two new VR headsets for the enterprise market. Pico had in the past had revealed the Neo 3, a consumer-focused device for the Chinese market. While for the North American and European markets, Pico is working with businesses.

The Neo 3 VR headset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2, which looks similar to the Oculus Quest 2. The VR headset has four inside-out tracking cameras, giving the VR headset spatial awareness. 

The Pico Neo 3 incorporates a pair of optically tracked motion controllers, which gives the controllers enhanced tracking compared to the electromagnetic solution in the Pico Neo 2.

To serve the needs of business customers, Pico Interactive has put together two business variants of the Pico Neo 3. One version has Tobii eye-tracking, and the other without it. Both versions have one 5.5″ 3664×1920 display operating at 90Hz.

The Pico Neo 3 Pro headsets have a standalone virtual reality device. In addition, the VR headsets have a DisplayPort connector, allowing users to plug the Neo 3 into a PC. The Pico Neo 3 Pro also supports NVIDIA CloudXR, enabling streaming content to the VR headset over Wi-Fi connections or 5G.

Pico Interactive created the Neo 3 Pro and Pro Eye for enterprises, with the Neo 3 Pro priced at $699 and the Neo 3 Pro Eye priced at $899. The VR headsets to start shipping from Q3 of 2021.
