Contact CI, the Ohio-based startup bringing in a new era for user interaction within simulation training and, ultimately AR/VR experiences, unveiled the revolutionary Multi-Force Ergonomic Haptics product ‘Maestro EP.’ Through carefully crafted and subtly impactful simulations of touch, Maestro EP facilitates virtual reality users to immerse their hands into the experience and feel engaged tangibly.

Contact CI aims to deliver personal hands-on interaction with the virtual world through its next-generation VR user input, the Maestro controller. The Contact CI team will give Virtual Reality users a hands-on tour of Maestro EP at CES 2023. With various tactile interactions, Contact CI is showcasing a never-before-seen haptic showcase that allows wearers to ‘Feel The Unreal’ in the comfort of their own hands.

The company essentially created an enterprise-targeted VR/AR haptic wearable and software development kit called Maestro EP for VR applications for simulation training. Pre-orders for Maestro EP, which retails for a ‘best-in-class’ $3,750 per pair and will ship in 2023, are now being taken.

Maestro EP transforms learning into a practical, tangible experience for employees receiving training for essential hands-centric spatial computing skills. It enables wearers to tangibly simulate the necessary skills without the pricey physical limitations when hands-on training is cost prohibitive due to a material, safety, or repeatability concern.

“Maestro EP is a lightweight and nuanced haptic interface that leverages years of iterative developments by the Contact CI team. As a new product in our signature Maestro line, Maestro EP highlights our approach of building Multi-Force Ergonomic Haptics enabling VR to be convincingly felt by a user’s fingers,” said Craig Douglass, CEO and co-founder at Contact CI.

Following Contact CI’s industry recognition as a VR Awards Finalist in both VR Hardware of the Year and Enterprise Solution of the Year for the Maestro DK3 in 2022, Maestro EP is the first product to be released.
