Virtuix is developing Omni One, a first-of-its-kind at-home omnidirectional treadmill that enables a new form of playing video games. Players can jump, run, and walk-in all directions inside all video and virtual games.
Players can find this type of concept in an arcade but never a system that can be played at home. Virtuix is crowdfunding and offering game enthusiasts the opportunity to invest and fund in this video gaming project. Anyone can invest a minimum of $1,000 and in return get a discount of up to 40% when they buy Omni One. According to the company, Omni One is lightweight and easy to store.
Virtuix’s Omni One includes its own standalone virtual reality headset and dedicated digital game store, which has around thirty games.
Virtuix’s Omni One is coming at a time when there are mass shortages of next-generation gaming consoles, and VR is taking gaming into new territories.
