Oculus restarts its Quest 2 Elite Strap accessory shipments and is also extending the warranty after reports of defective straps made rounds. Oculus temporarily stopped Quest 2 Elite Strap shipments last month, as there were reports of buyers reporting them snapping after use. Per some reports, the issue seems to be processing inconsistency, which has been taken care of, and the product will restart selling.

The Facebook-owned VR company states that the Elite Strap problems affected only a small percentage of users. However, Oculus is increasing the standard one-year warranty to a two-year warranty period. During these two years, the company will replace broken straps for free.

The Elite Strap costs $49, and it replaces the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset’s cloth strap. It is a significant upgrade that makes Quest 2 far more comfortable. Also, as it has reappeared on the Oculus Store and is being restocked in other places, it is a viable option once again.
