The Dubai-based corporate and retail bank Commercial Bank International (CBI) has officially launched its Metaverse based digital location. CBI is the first bank in the UAE to establish a presence in the metaverse and one of the few early adopting banks in the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Visitor access to CBI’s virtual location at Decentraland is now available at cbi.dcl.eth or (63, -127) using the Decentraland map coordinates. Customers can also use portals to access CBI’s virtual location.

As an Activation Partner at XVERSE, a section of GITEX Global dedicated exclusively to entities adopting metaverse technology, CBI will proudly make its virtual location debut the following week. The event will occur at the Dubai World Trade Center between October 10 and 14.

To fully explore the metaverse and its potential, CBI has created a future-focused agenda that will take place at their Activation Partner booth during the event. As part of the program, CBI will present a real-time metaverse use case in collaboration with local UAE burger brand Pickl. Through an unprecedented Middle Eastern stunt, CBI and Pickl will show how the metaverse may help a digital economy grow.

A significant turning point in CBI’s metaverse journey has been reached with the opening of their virtual location. The promotion of CBI’s metaverse location at a technology-focused show like GITEX is in line with CBI’s commitment to assisting the UAE’s objectives for digitization and innovation. A new chapter of CBI will be revealed to visitors at their activation partner booth in the GITEX XVERSE space, where CBI will be a part of an immersive Web3 experience.
