Vonage, a leader in cloud communications helping companies accelerate their digital transformation, is to power Japan-based virtual reality cloud software provider Spacely. The company’s 360-degree virtual reality solutions over video. Spacely permits users to create, edit, and use 360-degree VR content.

Vonage’s Video API enables any organization to embed secure and scalable video abilities into software applications. The Vonage solution, installed within Spacely’s platform, allows users to upload 360-degree photos that can be automatically converted into a 360-degree video showing locations and properties in VR.

Spacely technology helps businesses across industries, especially real estate, event management, and tourism, to engage with clients – for example, by organizing a virtual property tour that a customer can experience in their home. This has become increasingly important as a result of COVID and limitations on face-to-face meetings.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has created several restrictions, limiting in-person meetings and interactions. Providing rich and user-friendly panoramic VR cloud solutions have become essential, especially for on-site property viewing. In April, the number of inquiries for video conference and VR content quintupled. With Vonage’s capabilities, Spacely can meet this growing demand and simultaneously help affected industries adapt to a new way of working with VR.” – Hirokazu Morita, CEO, Spacely, Inc.

Japan-based real estate data provider Lifull surveyed 900+ real estate firms to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the industry. More than seventy percent reported that their performances were already being impacted, while ninety-two percent were concerned about the pandemic’s long-term impact.

“Various industries, including real estate, have been badly impacted by COVID-19. While the pandemic has accelerated digital transformation for businesses, many face challenges adapting to this change.” “Vonage helps businesses boost their audio-visual capabilities to ensure they continue to meet customer needs and engage with them effortlessly through their digital platforms.” –  Sunny Rao, Vonage Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Asia Pacific region.

The Vonage Communications Platform has 1+ million registered developers. It allows a full suite of programmable messaging, voice, email, and video services to businesses throughout the APAC market and globally. Vonage APIs support developers to enhance and build innovative user experiences straight into their existing applications and devices.
