Consumer electronics giant Samsung has unveiled a new metaverse-based experience called Space Tycoon built within the Roblox world. The gaming metaverse designed to entertain Gen Z users will now feature a space where Samsung products can be constructed by picking and arranging their fundamental components.

Several global brands and companies are now focusing on creating and offering metaverse experiences as a part of their strategies to attract customers. The latest initiative by Samsung, Space Tycoon, will enable users to explore a space station and gather resources and elements to design Samsung products.

The virtual world will also allow the participants to purchase items for their avatars from a virtual store. The experience primarily aims to target a younger audience and deliver them information about the and its products through an innovative offering.

“We wanted to give our Gen Z customers a chance to experience Samsung products in a way they have never done before. We will continue to showcase content that can deliver more meaningful and entertaining digital experiences for both our current and future customers,” said Jinsoo Kim, Executive Vice President at Corporate Design Center for Samsung Electronics.

Samsung has been involved in building and delivering many such innovative experiences in the gaming and entertainment arenas. The company has inked various partnerships to further its vision and progress in the industry. For instance, it partnered with the popular NFT marketplace, Nifty Gateway, to launch a platform to offer NFTs via Samsung smart TVs.

The company has also invested in several firms focused on building tech for the metaverse. In April, it contributed to the Series A funding round for Doubleme, a Korean metaverse company. It also launched a virtual store within Decentraland, one of the most popular metaverse platforms.
