Panasonic Automotive has stated that they have partnered with Phiar, a spatial AI and AR technology developers.

Phiar focuses on developing AI driven AR navigation technology to improve navigation support and safety for drivers by using map and navigation data from map platforms and offers live visual navigation traffic data.

Phiar’s AI technology works on automotive infotainment systems, exposes and examines a driver’s surroundings in real-time, and connects it with 3D localization of the vehicle to offer augmented navigation and safety data. The company has created deep neural networks that analyze the visual environment using just a mobile camera. It runs entirely on an automotive platform.
