Panasonic Automotive Systems, a division of Panasonic Automotive, has partnered with Phiar, a developer of AI and AR technology driving navigation platform, to extend driver navigation and safety support in its automotive solutions.

Phiar is an emerging company in the area of spatial artificial intelligence technology, powering augmented reality navigation as the foundational platform to improve driving experience and safety, and also enable the next-generation ADAS and connected vehicle services. Phiar Technologies is based in Redwood City, CA.

Phiar’s deep learning artificial intelligence tech runs on automotive infotainment systems. It identifies and analyzes the driver’s surroundings in real-time to combine it with 3D localization of the vehicle to offer AR-driven guidance and safety information. Phiar uses navigation data and maps to provide real-time visual navigation with traffic and other details.
