DSI Underground’s wholly-owned subsidiary DSI Underground SMART recently completed the acquisition of Edvirt, a VR training specialist. The acquisition will boost DSI Underground’s investment in new technology and innovation to drive productivity and safety across tunneling and mining operations ahead. Edvirt offers products and training programs to mining and tunneling customers globally based on VR training technology.

Edvirt will build new services for DSI Underground SMART and, at the same time, will continue to operate as a standalone company to serve its global customer base. The transaction is believed to be closed by mid of 2021, subject to regulatory approvals.
