With the e-commerce revolution taking over marketplaces across the globe, car buying stays no exception. Now you can envision your dream car over a background of your liking right on your phone screen without even the need to download an app. Beginning with the buyers in the Middle East, Nissan has started bringing in digital innovation through Augmented Reality (AR) to take the online car buying experience to the next level.

The technology lets the buyers take a tour of the car wrapped in the colors of their choice and interact with the highlights along the contours of the vehicle, getting more information about its features through preset hotspots. Starting with the flagship, Nissan Patrol, the company plans to bring the AR experience to the all-new Nissan Sunny, X-Trail, Kicks, and Altima soon.

It’s similar to walking around the car and taking a 360° view with the option of having whatever you can imagine in the background. Whether it’s your garage, the mountainside along your favorite road, or even your living room, you can visualize the car in every imaginable setting. The interactive interface lets you a position, rotate, or scale up and down the car at any spot along with its shell.

A potential buyer can simply take a glance at the vehicle landing page and even book a test drive from the comfort of their home.

Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director, Nissan Middle East, had to say, “At Nissan, we are committed to providing the best customer-centric solutions – whether in-store or digitally. With our new AR experience, customers can now engage with our products in an entirely unique and efficient way, so they can make informed vehicle purchase decisions without even leaving their homes. We are proud to bring this addition to our Shop@Home offering, to provide a truly connected auto retail experience for prospective car buyers in the region.”

In the wake of the changing consumer dynamics, Nissan has employed advanced tech to bring the showroom experience right to their buyer’s homes through the Shop@Home suite of digital services. Video call assistance, home test drives, maintenance services, and a lot more can be done to cater to the buyer’s convenience.

Buying a car requires a considerable financial investment, which is one of the most important decisive factors. To take care of this need for their buyers and help them easily calculate their Estimated Monthly Installment (EMI) based on the budget, car model, and eligibility, Nissan has added the Online Finance Calculator to their Shop@Home experience. It also gives the buyers the option to compare various EMI alternatives and streamline the entire application process.
