Sony has revealed a range of new updates and upcoming games for its PlayStation, with the latest State of Play digital showcase on July 8, 2021.

First was the upcoming PlayStation virtual reality game Moss: Book II. The VR title is a sequel to the 2018 title Moss. At present, the game is in development by Polyarc. Moss: Book II will continue the story of Quill, the mouse named Quill.

“Your adventure continues with the revelation that a winged tyrant leading the Arcane forces has turned its focus on Quill and is now on the hunt for her within the hexed castle where her uncle was held captive. Lined with dangerous terrain, challenging puzzles, and enemies twisted in fire and steel, Quill’s journey will be trying filled with triumph and heartbreak alike – but new allies, old friends, and the very nature of the castle itself can help as she works to save the world from a great unmaking.” – Polyarc.

Arcadegeddon from publisher IllFonic was next, which is considered as an ever-evolving multiplayer shooting game.

In Arcadegeddon, players can play solo or with up to three companions. In the game, players are tasked with saving an arcade by fighting savage enemies in dynamic packs, performing challenges to earn street cred, and conquering stages in different biomes. The complete game is expected to launch in 2022, while early access is currently available on PS5.

The next game, ‘Tribes of Midgard,’ will be available on the PS4 and PS5 on July 27, 2021. Norsfell Games develop the game. It is a ten-player survival-action game where players play as an Einherjar, a Viking warrior revived by Odin to stop Ragnarok.

Also shown was Ti Games’ action game FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch, developer Sloclap’s Sifu, Jett: The Far Shore, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, and Lost Judgment.
