Doctor Who adventure game is expected to hit the gaming market in 2021. Until now, the character has mostly flourished in spinoffs and guest appearances.

In 2019, a virtual reality game was based on Doctor Who: The Edge of Time that had horror elements that would fit with the VR tech. The newest Doctor Who game looks to grow on that release and let gamers outside of the virtual reality community to have a go at it.

Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality was announced in a trailer at the NYCC festivities, and it will be a standalone extension of the virtual reality Edge of Time. The game features a more extended version of the story, added monsters, and more environments.
