Pizza Hut partners with Pac-Man for a limited-edition playable Pac-Man pizza box with the help of augmented reality

Pizza Hut is likely to trigger a sense of nostalgia for people in America with its new arcade games strategy.

As part of a new nostalgia-driven strategy, Pizza Hut is focusing on arcade games to bring customers back to their shop for dine-in. By leveraging the latest technology, pizza lovers can now play Pac-Man on their pizza box.

Pizza Hut has partnered with Pac-Man for a limited-edition playable Pac-Man box with the help of augmented reality. Pizza lovers have to order a large pizza, then scan the QR code on the pizza box to play the game. Also, Pizza Hut offers an added incentive, where players can win an Arcade1Up Pac-Man game cabinet. To participate in the contest, players have to follow the prompts and share the score on Twitter. Winners will be announced on April 3, 2021.

According to Pizza Hut, Pac-Man is only the beginning of Pizza Hut’s new “Newstalgia” campaign, which promises to bring back Pizza Hut’s past favorites.
