Two prisoners have broken out of the Old Dubbo Gaol and using augmented reality, you must recover the ten treasures they’ve taken away.

Dubbo Regional Council launched its new game set in the CBD.

The treasures are hidden at 10 different locations throughout Dubbo’s main streets and the player can navigate through these using the game on their smartphones.

Councillor Dayne Gumley played The Great Chase with his children Jacob and Torah.

“I have tried the app with my kids and it is entertaining, informative, and will be a great addition for everyone, regardless of whether they are locals or visitors,” Cr Gumley said.

He exclaimed that the connection between one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and the CBD was highlighted remarkably by the game.
