Apple’s customers can now experience the company’s first-ever store in AR to celebrate the store’s 20th anniversary.

In 2001, Apple opened its first two retail stores in Tysons Corner and Glendale. Now shoppers can revisit Apple’s first store precisely as it appeared two decades ago via an interactive AR experience.

The AR model represents a detailed rebuilding of that original store. The artwork on the window and wall displays are accurate to the time. In addition, the model is created to be as precise as possible.

Customers can view the AR store via the link on Safari on either iPad or iPhone.

Almost 99% of Apple’s retail stores have re-opened after a year-long COVID pandemic, with many operating on a prior appointment basis.

Apple’s stores have earlier been praised internally as its most important product, often located in iconic city locations and donning a wide range of unique designs.
