The housing association residents in Warwickshire will soon get access to a brand new augmented reality fire safety tour by Orbit Housing.

Anaesh, an Orbit employee and also the tour guide, is introduced to the users to begin with. Anaesh takes the resident through each room in the property and presents helpful fire safety information. The experience highlights the fire hazards and safety features through videos and written content.

The Home Fire Safety software has been sponsored by Orbit and developed by a community interest company called Firemark Education.

Orbit spokesman Paul Richards said, “Quite simply this augmented reality safety tool has been designed to save lives. Keeping our customers safe in their homes is of paramount importance to us and is why we have sponsored Firemark Education to build this software. We pride ourselves on our customer safety record and feel strongly that we should do everything we can to support our customers to stay safe within their homes.”

“The software has been made to be user-friendly, easy to understand and incorporates lots of helpful tips on how to stay safe, and when to let us know there may be a problem. The feedback we have received from our customers has been extremely positive.”
