Sky Worlds, the platform that brings the in-stadium thrill of live football matches, is now accessible for all Sky VIP customers. They can now watch selected Premier League contests through a novel new immersive experience.
The platform allows them to move around the stadium and catch a glimpse of the action from any angle they like. Using the highest quality of visuals available, it takes the spectator experience to another level.
After a successful run of broadcasts in December, the experience will now bring the clash between Arsenal and Newcastle scheduled for January 18 to both football and VR enthusiasts. The thrilling VR-powered sports viewing experience is now also available on Oculus Quest headsets.
Matt McCartney, Head of Immersive Technology at Sky, said, “Sky Worlds is a fantastic example of how technology can help replicate real-life experiences and create truly transformative viewing experiences, something that is so important right now given the limitations fans have attending live events in person.”
“Our work with Sky is the culmination of four years of effort and testing,” said Miheer Walavakar, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of LiveLike.
“To do this with the leading broadcaster and top global league is affirming of our comprehensive, customizable unique immersive experience and viewing capabilities,” he added.
