Southern California entertainment is about to change as more than 60 award-winning amusement parks open their flagship location on HHLA (formerly Howards Ocean Drive, Hughes Center). Opening this summer, the highly anticipated 60 discounts will be the biggest and most entertaining on the West Coast, combining new technology, pop culture law, and spectacle.

HHLA’s 60out will offer six experiences – an escape room from The Smurfs and the legendary Godzilla vs. Cong. The Escape from 60 will be the only country with a game licensed by two major movie theaters. Other locations include the Titanic, a hotel on Route 66, a casino heist, and more than 30 live VR experiences.

The new location will also appeal to adventurers and gamers alike, with a common area for house gatherings, private parties, and other celebrations of up to 30 people.

“Consumers are seeking fun excursions more than ever to enjoy with friends, family, and coworkers. We have elevated escape rooms and gaming into fully interactive and life-like adventures through the latest technology, elaborate special effects, and immersive themes,” said Ilya Vradiy, CEO of 60out. “We have invested heavily to create the most realistic and unrivaled games that will turn LA upside down with exciting new experiences.”

According to Vradiy, 60out spent about $3 million developing the store, including creating ideas and games, software development, process design, and IP licensing. 60out is also working with some of the world’s leading game developers, augmented reality, and virtual reality game software developers to bring these new games to life.

“Being immersed in a world developed by 60out means fantasy adventures can become a reality. The result is visionary and connective entertainment like no other,” said Vradiy. “We are excited to provide guests with new and unparalleled interactive adventures. From the moment guests step inside, they will be transported to imaginative worlds where excitement, mystery, and challenges await.”

A recognized leader in the entertainment industry, 60out became the first company to receive a major IP license with Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017.

The Escape room is believed to have originated in Japan and Hungary, with the first US locations opening in New York and San Francisco in 2012 and 2013. Taking advantage of the popularity of the game, escape room is a new generation of games, providing real-life entertainment with challenges to be solved in the game within a set time limit. 60out now takes the fun to the next level.
