Virtuix, a virtual reality tech startup, stated that it would be launching a 360-degree VR treadmill named “Omni One.” Omni One, because of a frictionless surface, lets the user run in any direction.
Virtuix announced the treadmill in a crowdfunding campaign. Omni One has a vertical arm that holds the user in place while the user’s feet move against the treadmill. It is built for the home and can be folded up and put away. The company mentioned that Omni One would be available with 30 games, while other popular games like Call of Duty will be available later on.
Omni One is anticipated to launch in Q2 of 2021, with a price tag of USD 1,995.
