It will augment the fans’ experience and entertain Snapchatters from all over the world with thrilling challenges.
The Ooredoo Skills Challenge brings to life several engaging AR lenses accessible on Ooredoo’s 5G network thanks to the company’s fast and reliable coverage. Based on the user’s network connection, the lens changes dynamically. Snapchat offers a streamlined gaming experience when connected to a 4G network. To unlock a selection of augmented reality games and advance up the leaderboard, the lens urges users to connect to a 5G network.
This first gamified lens puts players’ skill, focus, and tactics to the test across three distinct challenges:
Using Snap’s AR body tracking technology, Keepy Uppy tests the juggling capabilities of Snapchatters by having them keep the ball in the air using their knees and head. If the ball touches the ground, the game is over.
Ball Balance tests one’s ability to keep a football balanced on one’s head for as long as possible.
In the quirky game Table Top Challenge, players are challenged to test their tactical prowess against an AI opponent and score as many goals as they can within 45 seconds.
Earlier this year, a C-suite delegation from Ooredoo, headed by its CEO Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Thani, paid a visit to Snap Inc.’s headquarters in California, USA. The objective was to strengthen ties between the two businesses and learn more about the technologies that Snapchat will utilize at the eagerly awaited games.
