Mixed Realms’ Sairento VR – or Soairento VR: Untethered on Oculus Quest looks brutal and should be an intense combat experience in VR for gamers. Mixed Realms has started to tease its newest VR game, called Project Hellsweeper.

The teaser shows monsters blasting into a gush of blood and gore. The team has validated that they are building upon the combat and locomotion systems it developed for Sairento VR.

“What we can say at this point is that it is going to be another combat sim, but even more visceral and brutal. We are going to pull no punches, and you can expect to experience a combat experience that is bigger, badder, and crazier than Sairento!” – Company statement.

That seems to be the case, but there is a different mix of visuals now. The teaser showcases advanced architecture whilst the monsters are fantasy monster-based. The same is with the gameplay. Players can wield large swords to slice monsters, enchant fireballs, and fire bullets from guns.

Just like Sairento, Mixed Realms intends to prepare Project Hellsweeper with characteristics that may or may not work in its favor as the cyber ninja game is known for its learning curve.

“We’re bringing the experience of performing movie-worthy stunts and god-like fight sequences to a new level of omg-did-I-just-do-that-in-virtual-reality,” According to the team on Reddit.

Mixed Realms is shaping a beta version of Project Hellsweeper in the next few months for gaming expert feedback.

For Sairento VR: Untethered, they have released updates for Oculus Quest 2 like 90Hz support, increasing enemy spawn rates for a more immersive experience.
