Unity, a game engine platform used by game developers to develop multiple-dimensional, virtual reality, and augmented reality games, has appeared as a new and improved platform to test their latest tech like self-driving cars in VR.

The company’s game engine is also used in other industries like engineering, construction, and films. For companies, Unity has three models of subscription plans: Unity Enterprise, Unity Pro, and Unity Plus, with a monthly subscription fee of $200, $150, and $40 per user, respectively.

“Charging a certain percentage of profits as royalties to Unity engine users may bring more profits to the company in the short term, but our focus is on the market share. Unity has no plan to make changes in its current subscription-based model.” – Unity Technologies Korea.

Unity’s new platform has been accepted well among home and international clients who are looking to leverage AR and VR technologies to their gaming businesses.
