Zappar, an augmented reality platform provider, has announced that it will celebrate its tenth anniversary with its AR Pioneers event.
According to Zappar, the virtual event will be held on 22-23 June. It will celebrate the progression of AR from its initial days to its widespread use, covering the key areas on how companies can leverage AR and WebAR.
The event will leverage Zappar’s experience working with global brands while giving attendees privileged access to tech demos, fireside chats with industry experts, and new product releases.
The virtual event will star industry experts and will include:
- Keynote announcements on the next steps of Zappar’s journey
- Important learnings based on Zappar’s experience within the AR industry
- Moderated talks on how to best use augmented reality
- Fireside chats with industry professionals
- Product demos and build-along sessions
- Networking for producers, developers, and creators

Zappar was founded in 2011 and launched the ‘ZapWorks’ platform in 2013. The platform provides developers and creators with the tools required to build augmented reality experiences without any coding experience. Zappar recently launched the ZapBox, a mixed reality tool kit for developers to create 6DoF experiences. Zappar’s clients include Rovio and 7-Eleven, Nestle, among others.
