To provide an enhanced, transformed banking experience to its customers, Walden Savings Bank has introduced plans for integrating advanced technology, including augmented reality. The plans have been drafted for the bank’s Montgomery branch and headquarters.

Walden Savings Bank is a community bank providing remarkable, solutions-driven service for its valued customers. The bank’s Scott’s Corners Drive location is currently being renovated to curate the interactive experience as planned.

“This digital branch transformation is an investment in today, the future, and the customers who trust us to provide the personalized service for which Walden Savings Bank is well-known,” said Walden Savings Bank President and CEO Derrik Wynkoop.

Scheduled to launch this fall, the digital branch transformation and additional conveniences for personal banking and businesses will feature:

  • Augmented reality to conduct banking operations and gain information about products and services through smartphones.
  • A Digital Discovery Center to enable customers to efficiently conduct banking tasks through innovative tech, including a CardValet®, Bank Wise personal financial-management dashboard, online-banking demonstration and enrollment, and Mobile Wallet
  • A new high-tech ATM
  • Reimagined teller pods that would allow for more engaging interaction between customers and bank employees
  • Comfortable, confidential meeting areas for banking representatives and customers
  • A state-of-the-art conference room
  • “WSB Café,” a self-service coffee bar for customers and guests

The renovation is being undertaken by the Storm King Group, a Montgomery-based construction company. The architectural plans and layout for the physical renovation have been created by NES Group, a leader in bank design, architecture, and project management. The bank has also partnered with several local contractors and companies for the project.
