The American tech social media company, Snap, is launching a global creative studio called ‘Arcadia’ to enable brands to create augmented reality advertising and experiences. The studio plans to assist companies in developing immersive experiences that they can access across web platforms and app-based AR environments.

Brands and creators will get the opportunity to reach out to Snapchat’s millennial and Gen Z audience in a novel way through the studio. Several companies, including Verizon, WWE, Shake Shack, and P&G Beauty, have already teamed up with Snap for the initiative.

Arcadia will operate as an independent division with the creative freedom to help brands create AR experiences even for other social media platforms.

“Arcadia delivers a compelling solution for brands and agencies who understand the immediate value of developing world-class AR experiences, rooted in craft, technology, and customer experience,” said Jeff Miller, Global Head of Creative Strategy at Snap. “With the launch of Arcadia, Snap Inc. is further investing in an AR ecosystem, backed by partners, creators, and tools, that drives full-funnel results for businesses across the globe.”

Snap has capitalized on its AR capabilities in a multitude of ways over the past few years. Recently, the company announced upgrades to its developer tools and AR-focused Lens Studio to facilitate deeper shopping integrations into the Snapchat experience.
