In a bid to stay at the forefront of modern creative education, SAE Dubai has introduced a new Diploma program in Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) beginning in February 2022.

The program will familiarize the students with the key fundamentals of AR and VR, provide them access to the latest software, and facilitate in-person guidance from expert lecturers with extensive understanding of AR, VR, mixed reality, haptic technologies, human-computer interaction, and prototyping.

“The next generation or iteration of the internet has arrived in the form of the Metaverse. It is argued that the impact of AR and VR will be as big as the impact of the internet across the globe,” said Jan Horn, Managing Director at SAE Dubai.

“We are now facing advancements in technology that will completely transform how users fully immerse themselves into a virtual environment.”

The program will enable the students to learn and master the technical workflows associated with augmented reality platforms, such as scripting and asset pipeline, applying design and project management processes while imparting relevant academic skills.

The program will be executed in a hybrid format with a combination of online and on-campus sessions. Moreover, even working professionals can enroll in the program as the classes will be held on weekends. Nevertheless, the emerging tech fields are a lucrative career option for young adults, which is the primary target demographic for the initiative.
