Kia launched the Kia EV6, an electric crossover car with ultra-fast charging and an AR windshield.
Customers can book the EV6 from 2022 onwards. EV6 will be among the first to get the new logo, replacing the current one. The new logo is an updated version of the brand’s name.
The EV6 is expected to give up to 300 miles on one single charge, which is similar to Tesla Model Y electric crossover.
The EV6 will be paired with an 800-volt system, allowing it to go from 10% to 80% charged under twenty minutes.
Many other automakers such as Mazda, Ford, and Mercedes-Benz have also introduced EVs. The EV6 will begin a new naming convention for the brand Kia: The Korean company will start all its electric vehicles with the EV designation, which will be followed by a number indicating the size of the vehicle.
“The EV6 marks a new and transformative era in Kia electrification. This innovative crossover leverages the many benefits of its advanced platform to offer a level of technological excitement and convenience that will provide a superb ownership experience.” – Sean Yoon, CEO, Kia North America.
