The pioneering augmented reality and virtual reality technology company, Cymax Infotainment, is setting up the Cymax Techno-Park, a 32-acre site in Hyderabad, India, to foster innovation within the immersive tech sector in the country.
Cymax Chairman G Raghava Reddy explained that the park would serve as a platform for startups and established firms to develop AR and VR technologies for the future.
“In this context, we are introducing various kinds of innovations in the park such as Cymax Institute of Creative Technology, VR labs in schools and colleges, VR movies in web-series, a film museum, virtual productions, virtual architecture and real-estate, an indoor theatre, a Cymax outdoor theatre, virtual TV or studio or tours or showrooms or events and 360-degree live streaming,” he said.
Cymax CEO Gowri Shankar Mamidi further discussed the introduction of Cymax courses focussed on multimedia, VFX, software, and hardware sectors. The company expects the courses to have applications in various areas, including education, entertainment, medicine, automobile, tourism, real estate, military, architecture, and gaming.
The company will also use its domain expertise to provide various AR and VR solutions to the companies stationed at the park, helping them adapt to the rapidly changing market.
