To enhance the experience while using collaborative web meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, Arvizio launched Immersive 3D, a solution that will help to share and interact with 3D models in augmented reality (AR). This will enable customers around the world to transform virtual meetings or planning and review sessions using CAD, BIM, and 3D models to visualize AR digital twins.

The pandemic has forced the businesses to shift their workforce towards digital engagement and now we are at a stage where we are looking at remote workforce opportunities as a long-term business model. At this time, Arvizio has come up with a way to redefine virtual meetings with the inclusion of AR digital twins.

The technology works by representing remote participants through avatars equipped with a Pointer Tool to identify key features. It allows for models to be annotated and, viewed at the tabletop size or 1:1 scale with the ability to teleport from their device even while being seated.

Immerse 3D offers unique model optimization and efficient WAN transport capabilities that lead to efficient data compression and parallel loading of large data sets to multiple AR clients. It is an ideal medium for industries such as AEC, energy, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, aerospace, government, and educational institutions to utilize their 3D data for more interactive web meetings due to its on-demand model loading functionality.

“Bringing augmented reality to web meetings provides a more impactful experience – it’s visual, interactive, and immersive,” said Jonathan Reeves, CEO at Arvizio.

“We are empowering our customers to use 3D visualization with stakeholders around the world and use augmented reality for more efficient and realistic project reviews. We’re excited to deliver this capability to our customers as remote interactions and digital meetings become the norm,” he added.
