Kochi-based Ana Infotainment has unveiled two new 6D books that use augmented reality and virtual reality technologies to deliver an immersive experience to the readers. The two books on the solar system and human anatomy/internal organs come with video, audio, downloadable PDF notes, and 3D images that can be viewed using 3D glasses.
Jaison K Sani, the company’s Managing Director, explained that the books come with supplementary apps available on the Playstore that bring several AR and VR features to life.
Moreover, one can experience the deeper immersive features through a headset that takes the user within the solar system or gives them the ability to hold their organs within their hands and observe them up close. The app also offers 360-degree images and audio lectures to continue learning on the go.
The company further plans to provide solutions for setting up AR/VR labs in schools. “Education has become an online activity due to Covid, but possibilities of AR and VR are not all explored. Considering these, we are also planning to bring out rank files on various subjects for different grades from the next academic year,” said Sajeevan NS, Technical Director for the company.
