Window Wonderland will be the Junction’s first yearly immersive urban art-walk presented by MEDS Junction Pharmacy. It will transform the Junction neighborhood into a large outdoor exhibit that is interactive, magical, and engaging. The exhibition will highlight animators and local artists who will be painting ten storefront windows brought to life by AR. The Augmented Reality will create an immersive art which will be the first of its kind in Toronto.

Window Wonderland is developed in partnership with Buds Collective, which provides local makers and artists with opportunities, visibility, and access resources to showcase their talent. Visitors to Windows Wonderland can see the art come to life just by downloading the Augle App and pointing their phone’s cameras at the artwork displayed on the windows of ten storefronts to experience immersive life-size artworks.

“We needed to think outside the box and find new ways to support the Junction community, our local artists and businesses, during the pandemic. With creative thinking and collaboration, we have now turned a challenging circumstance into an incredible outdoor exhibition. Window Wonderland presents an opportunity for us to see the work of our local artists in an entirely new way; large-scale and brought to life on the storefronts of Dundas Street West,” said Carol Jolly, Executive Director, The Junction BIA.
