Adobe’s AR add-on to Adobe Aero, a Creative Cloud, was first released in 2019, and now, Adobe has announced that the company will be launching Aero 2.0 with better augmented reality features.
Aero Desktop
Until recently, Aero was only available on smartphones. But now, an improved Aero desktop will be launched for developers to build and edit AR content both on Windows and Mac desktop devices. The app’s desktop version allows developers to build a preview of what the augmented reality experience will be and view it in detail on a bigger screen.
Aero desktop version will help developers access content from other applications, streamlining importing, designing, and editing augmented reality experiences.
“You can see all the content that is laid out on the canvas at one time, manage more sophisticated scenes, and make intricate design choices … You can easily assemble scene assets and precisely edit their placement in a non-AR view, either before you test them in Aero mobile or while making adjustments to color and texture after prototyping in the real world environment on Aero mobile (iOS).” – Adobe’s official blog post.
