The 2020 World Conference on VR Industry will be organized in October 2020 in Nanchang. It will be a two-day online and offline event with members investigating issues related to extended reality (XR), industrial ecology, entertainment games, and cloud VR.
This event is annually co-hosted by the provincial government of Jiangxi and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). During the 2019 event, around 104 virtual reality industry agreements and projects were reported.
China has seen a maturing and growing virtual reality (VR) industry as it shifts for high-quality development and comprehensive application of new technologies. Per MIIT, China’s virtual reality market is estimated to reach USD 7.7 billion by 2021.
