This all-new, first-of-its-kind production by Double Confirm Productions, Raffles Hotel Singapore, and Sight Lines Entertainment is going to bring out the detective in you.
Called The Curious Case of the Missing Peranakan Treasure, it is an exciting new interactive virtual whodunnit tale set against the backdrop of the remarkable Grand Dame of Singapore. Starting April 1, the guests will get the opportunity to navigate through a digital mystery and an unforgettable adventure of several exclusive on-site experiences at the storied hotel itself.
Jean Tay has penned down the experience which has been directed by Hossan Leong that lets you take on the role of a detective to investigate the missing treasure. It is the crown jewel of the fictional Treasures of the Straits exhibition at the Raffles Hotel Singapore.
The production has been filmed entirely on location with 360-degree virtual reality (VR) cameras to bring a unique virtual experience comprising immersive views and shots, surround sound, and augmented reality choice-based features.
The experience will take the participants through the hotel’s historic grounds and its illustrious halls while they piece all the clues together, unfolding the story. You can experience this thriller right from the comfort of your home or experience the play physically at the hotel itself.
If you pick the latter, you are going to get to check into a spacious hotel suite before you head on to several checkpoints across Raffles Hotel Singapore on the treasure hunt.
For participants who successfully solve the mystery, the organizers have planned a plethora of prizes ranging from e-vouchers to a luxe afternoon tea affair for two at The Grand Lobby. The winners would also be entitled to participate in a Grand Draw for a chance to win a one-night stay at the incredible Palm Court Suite.
