With the launch of Hitman 3 on January 20, the World of Assassination trilogy will come to a conclusion that was kickstarted by the Hitman reboot back in 2016. IO Interactive, the developers of the game, dropped a few hints about something exciting coming up for the owners of a PlayStation VR set just a few days ahead of the launch.

You will be able to experience ‘the full trilogy’ in a virtual reality environment through multiple VR elements within the game. The trailer of the game showcased Agent 47 in first-person VR doing things like stabbing, shooting, and even reading a newspaper. However, PlayStation VR is the only device expected to be compatible with the game’s VR content for now.

The first two parts of the trilogy were released back in 2016 and 2018 and had garnered solid acclaim from fans and critics, successfully building a substantial fanbase. But this time, the owners of PSVR are set to receive a nice bonus. VR was expected to be the gaming industry’s Next Big Thing™ but has lagged behind in terms of quality content ever since the launch of PSVR and Vive headsets in 2016.

Half-Life Alyx by Valve that launched for the Vive last year has probably been the most remarkable game to hit VR. With the release of Hitman 3, even PSVR will find a significant reason to put their headsets to good use again.

2021 is going to be a great year for gaming with titles like Mario, The Prince of Persia, Halo Infinite, and God of War: Ragnarok set to release later during the year.
