Elsevier, which is in research publishing and information analytics, has announced the release of SLS (Simulation Learning System) for RN with VR (SLS with VR). It is a new digital service that combines virtual reality from SimX with the healthcare content of Elsevier to provide realistic and immersive virtual reality simulations to nursing students.
Elsevier has partnered with SimX, a developer of advanced virtual reality simulation training for healthcare professionals, to give nursing schools the capability to facilitate clinical simulations as they would in a regular simulation lab. VR, along with SLS, gives a powerful solution for nursing schools encountering limitations with in-person labs and clinical rotations.
