The global, multi-award-winning media agency, Mindshare India, has collaborated with the automaker Volvo to launch Volvoverse. The automobile company plans to launch its newest vehicle, the Volvo XC40 Recharge, within the bespoke metaverse world.

Mindshare is well-known for providing innovative, tech-enabled branding solutions to companies all across the globe. The launch of the XC40 Recharge within the metaverse aims to progress Volvo’s vision of contributing toward building a sustainable ecosystem.

Moreover, the metaverse is touted as the next big concept in the world of the Internet, with its popularity growing each passing day exponentially. The first-of-its-kind experience envisioned by Volvo also aims to target the potential customers in this demographic that are rapidly adopting such innovative, modern technologies.

Mindshare also collaborated with other WPP agencies, including Hogarth, Yonder, Grey, and Genesis BCW, to create the Volvoverse. Each company brought forward something unique to the table to achieve a singular, shared objective.

“Volvo has always been at the forefront of innovation and technology, and we as a company are also globally known for our commitment to sustainability,” said Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director at Volvo Car India.

The XC40 Recharge launch within the metaverse is a crucial milestone for Volvo as it looks to further leverage digital technology in the marketing sphere. It also significantly contributes to the company’s sustainability mission, leaving a negligible carbon footprint compared to conventional car launches.

Gopikaa Davar, CEO of Hogarth India, also highlighted her company’s vision to reach Net Zero by 2030. The project with Mindshare and Volvo is a crucial initiative for the agency to amalgamate the ideas of sustainable production and the metaverse.

The project is a brilliant undertaking for all its contributors to reduce their carbon footprint and mitigate the environmental impact by replacing traditional studios and equipment with virtual studios and green screen shoots.
