The pioneering virtual world engine startup, Interality, is collaborating with MemeChat to launch the Memeverse, a virtual reality world where users can interact, explore, shop, and earn NFTs.
Users can enter the Memeverse with an Interality web link through a desktop, smartphone, or VR headset and enjoy the experience with their friends. They can pick their favorite avatars, shop digital assets and NFTs, and bring meme characters to life using augmented reality.
MemeChat is one of the most prominent meme applications in India and manages the top Indian meme accounts on Instagram with millions of followers. Farheen Ahmad, founder & CEO of Interality, exclaimed that she and her team were excited to build the virtual world for the MemeChat community.
Memes have become a big part of the Internet culture, particularly in India. It has been an enormous challenge to bring this culture into the metaverse. Memeverse offers a novel way to experience and share memes. Users can explore the virtual environment, own viral memes as NFTs, and interact with their favorite characters in augmented reality.
The platform would let visitors explore the virtual world packed with meme references and characters. They can hang out with friends and shop digital assets and memes at The Meme Club inside the Memeverse. Users can also claim a free Interality’s Laddoo NFT if they can locate a hidden meme by Interality inside the Memeverse.
“The most thrilling experience for a netizen could be to live in a world where they can shop for memes, quite literally. A place where memes are brought to life in virtual reality and augmented reality,” said Kyle Fernandes, co-founder and CEO of MemeChat.
Interality has previously worked on another virtual reality world called Tubbiverse. The Solana NFT Community Tubbies had launched the apocalypse-themed and token-gated world.
