To further solidify its position as the top enterprise Web3 platform for brands and agencies, SmartMedia Technologies (SMT) announced the acquisition of three firms: BLOCKv Solutions from Switzerland, Geronimo from Australia, and Austella from the UK.

The strategic acquisitions allow SMT to broaden its comprehensive Web3, Metaverse, and NFT offerings across APAC and Europe.

With the help of their unique technology stack, which combines data-driven programmatic Web3-enabled media, a self-service, no-code, automated Web3 CRM, and an NFT design studio, the rapidly expanding company has produced nearly 5 million Web3 custodial wallets for its customers.

It allows them to offer the most user-friendly, end-to-end Web3 solution available. The company has worked with Fortune 500 companies like Verizon, PepsiCo, Unilever, Yahoo!, and Accenture to launch successful global Web3 campaigns over the past year.

BLOCKv Solutions is a pioneering development firm powered by the VEE token and built on BLOCKv, the leading protocol in the world for creating smart, programmable NFTs. VEE is a blockchain-based utility token powering the BLOCKv protocol for developing Smart NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), which can be distributed and collected through social media, QR codes and email, augmented and virtual reality, geo-location drops, and can be dynamically minted to several leading blockchains.

Geronimo, a company founded in 2015 and based in Sydney, Australia, collaborates with well-known brands like Google, Amazon, Telstra, and Microsoft. The company provides various technical solutions and services, including business and technology consulting, creating CX solutions, and developing NFC and blockchain applications for PC, console, and mobile devices.

Austella has been a leading developer and partner in the SMT Enterprise Web3 stack for the Metaverse. Austella’s IP, which includes a Unity metaverse rendering engine and SDK that incorporates the SMT Web3 wallet, enables NFTs to be picked up via AR in the real world and transported into a virtual metaverse world. The SMT Enterprise stack incorporates Austella’s IP, allowing SMT to provide the most user-friendly and interoperable Web3 wallet and integrated metaverse solution on the market.

“We are focusing on creating the bridges and composable layers to connect metaverses, blockchains, and XR experiences, and the acquisitions of these companies will help us achieve that goal faster,” said Tyler Moebius, CEO of SmartMedia Technologies.
