The augmented reality and Web3 company, Kaleidoco, has raised $7 million in fresh funding from the blockchain gaming community. The company had recently unveiled its Particle Ink Metaverse at the opening of the TED2022, with another live AR installation in Las Vegas.
Jennifer Tuft and Cassandra Rosenthal, the founders of Kaleidoco, are both film industry veterans with decades of experience. They established the company with a mission to create original AR experiences that enhance human connection.
The company’s original, mixed reality metaverse, Particle Ink, is set within the 2.5th Dimension, a narrative set at the intersection of the 2D world of the storyboard and the 3D world we live in. It uses the Kaleidoco AR Tech Platform to facilitate a GameFi experience as another portal into the 2.5th Dimension.
The company’s investors include leading blockchain and gaming backers, such as Animoca Brands, GameFi Ventures, Gemini, Jane Street, Adit Ventures, Merit Circle, Nexo, HexTrust, SuperChain Capital, and TSG (The Seelig Group).
Kaleidoco will use the funding to accelerate growth and hire key, strategic personnel to help it continue to build and release innovative products.
At TED2022, the company demonstrated its never-before-seen, patent-pending Augmented Reality Multi-Viewer technology, enabling 1,400 guests to experience AR, projection mapping, and live performance simultaneously.
Kaleidoco also recently set up its first live portal into the 2.5th Dimension, Particle Ink: The Speed of Dark, in the Las Vegas Arts District. The experience is open for visitors from Wednesday through Sunday at 7 PM and 9 PM.
The company is looking to expand the Particle Ink Metaverse with the release of its first AR NFT collection and enhance the GameFi experience utilizing its patented Augmented Unification technology. Its AR Tech Platform is expected to open for other developers next year.
