Schneider Electric introduced remote expertise, for power and electrical distribution systems and leveraging advanced technologies, including AR. Remote expertise provides virtual technical and expert support to clients without requiring an onsite field representative.
Remote expertise leverages AR software, delivered through a secure platform-agnostic mobile app, to provide clients access to qualified field techs virtually. With Remote Expertise, field tech can provide safety and compliance recommendations, do audits and distribution system assessments, report at-risk or failing equipment in real-time.
“Electrical distribution is the electricity backbone of any facility. As business continuity becomes paramount, organizations now need real-time and on-demand access to the digital tools and services that protect their equipment health and keep their operations running smoothly and at full capacity. As telehealth has done for medicine, we’re doing for power distribution – giving customers preliminary evaluations of their systems that can solve many everyday issues quickly and easily and provide faster time-to-resolution for more complex challenges. We believe augmented reality is a key part of the future of digital services.” – Jerome Soltani, Senior Vice President, US Services, Schneider Electric.
The remote association solution works on most mobile OS and platforms and also allows quick and effective troubleshooting. Remote expertise is available for customers through Advantage Service Prime plans.
